Thefts in the area are from two main sources. 

 

1. Unlocked Cars: Officer Pilant asks that any cars not secured in a locked garage be locked and that absolutely no valuables of any kind be left inside cars parked outside. In particular, he called upon the community to never, ever, leave a firearm in a car. Stolen firearms put residents throughout the City, County, and beyond at extreme risk.

 

2. Bicycles: Officer Pilant asks that bicycles be secured with a heavy chain lock if they are left outside. If possible, please bring bicycles into a locked garage or house rather than leave them out.
