Village Green Acres Brigade Volunteers Needed

Each block weighs about eight (8) pounds and they must be hand-placed. We will be getting the ground ready and then drop the blocks into place. We are extremely excited to see how great this looks when we are finished! The goal is to ensure that the mulch stays in place instead of being washed away, the plants have enough mulch to help ensure the ground stays moist so they do not get too dried out, to reduce chemicals designed to kill weeds and to reduce weeds overall....OH...and another very important aspect...adding beauty to our already fabulous neighborhood!
If you can help, please bring gloves, some drinking water, your PPE and a fun attitude. We will be starting on Village Green Parkway at the north end. You may either convoy with the group as we move from bed to bed or park in the parking lots just north of the monument on VG Pkwy and ride with someone that is convoying along the way. We plan to work until we run out of landscape blocks but with enough volunteers, we should be able to knock this out pretty quickly! Once we have this batch in place, we will plan the next batch.
